Evaluating the chief executive’s or leadership team’s on-the-job performance can be challenging. Avenir Consulting Partners and Weber Group offer four packages to meet your evaluation needs. Each package may be customized to include items like additional board member interviews, in-person 360-degree feedback from staff, community partners, funders, and a total reward review.

Our goal is to make it easier to get the results you need with a better outcome.

Bronze

This option is suited for a board that is hands on, perhaps with board members who are experienced in the process, or for smaller organizations with significant budget constraints.

  • One hour needs assessment/consultation with the Board Chair and/or Executive Committee
  • One hour needs assessment/consultation with CEO/ED
  • Evaluation process and documentation template provided to align with organization needs
  • Recommendations for best practice implementation

Silver

This option is suited for a larger board, or where the CEO/ED and board desire deeper process to create shared understanding, facilitate dialogue, robust process for growth. Process involves neutral, external consultants gathering input and reviewing results.

  • Consultant review of organization’s results, goals set, goals achieved
  • Design and conduct electronic survey to capture Board, Staff, Key Partner input into evaluation
  • Compile input, provide to Board and CEO/ED with guidance for evaluation

Gold

This option is suited for a CEO/ED and board that desire outcomes of Silver package plus real-time interviews of board members and facilitated evaluation discussions.

  • Design and conduct electronic survey to capture Board, Staff, Key Partner input into evaluation
  • Design and conduct electronic survey to capture Board, Staff, Key Partner input into evaluation
  • Design and conduct electronic survey to capture Board, Staff, Key Partner input into evaluation
  • Support drafting and reviewing evaluation documents, if desired
  • Facilitated evaluation conversation with Board Chair/Executive Committee and CEO

Platinum

This option establishes goals in Year 1 with support of consulting team, then assesses and measures them in Year 2. Includes quarterly check-ins and creation of process that can be cascaded throughout the organization.

  • Development of performance and behavioral goals that align with strategic direction, organization’s values and culture
  • Recommendations for best practice implementation
  • Design and conduct electronic survey to capture Board, Staff, Key Partner input into evaluation in Year 1 and in Year 2
  • Up to eight in-depth Board member interviews in Year 1 and in Year 2
